Nyeri Police

12 Jan

Nyeri central police station is one big mess. this especially is with the patrol car(RAV 4)that normally patrols the area. these boys-in-blue are doing no work but only collecting tithes from matatus pikipikis and bicycles sometimes. come to our rescue.

This is common everywhere in this country. Police station themselves on the road to get money from motorists especially matatus and commercial vehicles. Take the case of Kikuyu near the Gitaru flyover and on Kikuyu-Dagoretti road near Alliance High School. The men and women in blue pretend to be checking insurance stickers whereas what they are actually doing is to transfer Ksh 50 notes from the driver’s licence that they have obtained from the matatu driver. The matatus plying these routes ferry 18 or more passengers. Go anywhere in this country, be it Kisii, Mombasa, Malindi, name it. These “traffic Officers” are just there to fill their stomachs. So it is not only in Nyeri that this is happening. Where is KACC?

the fight against corruption is not in nyeri only but its like all traffic officers are infected with this disease of taking bribes just before they leave the training camps. God help Kacc face this out

i the resident of nyeri, would like to say bravo to the Nyeri Patrol car which you have a negative attitude towards this boyz in blue have done alot to put crime at bay, they work night and day to ensure that no crime occurs no where in Kenya that patrols are done like in nyeri so you stop demoralizing the police of Nyeri they have played there role professionally.
