WHO IS THE GOVERNMENT SPOKESMAN FOOLING?

21 Aug

THE CONTINUED FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.
MUTUA
IS KENYA REALLY HEADED ANYWHERE IN THIS FIGHT?

When the coalition government took over, it dedicated itself to ending the cancer of corruption that was eating our country inside out. This courageous stand can be seen in the way the government has set up strong structures to ensure that we permanently fight corruption. We cannot deny that it has enacted the Public Officer Ethics and Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Acts, the Financial Management Act, National Audit Office Act, established the Kenya Anti-corruption commission and initiated the National Campaign against Corruption Committee to fight against corruption. The question remains are they effective.
According to the government spokes man, Alfred Mutua the government has tackled the Golden berg scandal, cleaned up the judicial system, set up the Kenya Anti Corruption Commission, initiated and completed the investigation on illegal land allocation, otherwise known as the Ndung’u report and approved a comprehensive public procurement bill.cricis
He continues by saying the government can confidently report that it has drastically reduced rampant looting of public funds thus saving the government and people of funds and resources. Due to the government’s efforts against corruption, treasury has recorded phenomenal increase in revenue collection, surpassing projected targets by over 21 billion shillings in the last six months. He also insists that there is no more LAND GRABBING adding that these are just a few of the many examples of how our campaign against corruption is bearing fruit. Kenyans can truly report that the spokes man is just doing his job but despite having all the above very little has changed.Right? Kenyans are suffering today more than ever..waaat

My heart is crying and my eyes drowning of tears for seeing my fellow Kenyan in this situation yet few individuals can afford to take the whole country in ransom and self proclaimed spokesmen pose for picture while misusing money planting stones. I still cant believe a Kenyan can die of hunger yet we have a government. What is its work if not to feed its people?
